1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Formudle ("we", "our" or "the application") collects, uses and protects information when you use our mobile application.

By using Formudle, you accept the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

2. Information We Collect

2.1. Game Statistics (Stored locally on your device)

Formudle stores your game progress and statistics exclusively on your device using SharedPreferences. This data includes:

• Games played and won: Your win/loss counters
• Streaks: Your current and best winning streak
• Guess distribution: How many attempts you typically need to guess correctly
• Current session: Today's game state so you can resume if you close the app

This information never leaves your device and is not sent to any server.

2.2. Automatic Technical Information

Through Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, we automatically collect:

• Crash and error data: Information about crashes and errors occurring in the application
• Device information: Device model, operating system version, system language
• Usage data: Anonymous statistics on how the application is used (features used, usage time)
• Analytics events: Actions performed in the app (game started, game won, etc.) without personally identifiable data

2.3. Information We DO NOT Collect

Formudle DOES NOT collect:

• Name, email or any account information (there are no accounts)
• Payment or financial information (the app is completely free)
• Contacts or information from other applications
• Geographic location
• Browsing history outside the app
• Access to camera, microphone or device files

3. How We Use the Information

We use the collected information for:

• Local game state: Save your stats and today's session so they persist between app launches
• Improve stability: Identify and fix technical errors via Crashlytics
• Analyze usage: Understand which features are most used to improve the experience via Analytics
• Advertising: Show App Open Ads via Google AdMob to support the free app

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Formudle shows ads through Google AdMob:

• App Open Ads: Shown when the app is opened or resumed after being in the background

AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Storage and Sharing

5.1. Local Storage

All game statistics are stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences. This data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the app.

5.2. Firebase / Google (Service Provider)

Formudle uses the following Firebase services (Google LLC):

• Firebase Crashlytics: For error and crash monitoring
• Firebase Analytics: For anonymous usage statistics
• Firebase Remote Config: For app configuration (maintenance mode, minimum version)
• Firebase App Check: To protect backend services from abuse

These services process data according to Google's Privacy Policy and are subject to strict security measures.

5.3. No Other Third Parties

Formudle DOES NOT share, sell, rent or transfer your personal data to:

• Advertising companies (beyond AdMob for ad delivery)
• Social networks
• Data aggregators
• Any other third party for commercial purposes

6. Data Security

• Local game data: Stored locally on your device only — never transmitted
• Encryption in transit: All communications with Firebase use HTTPS/TLS
• Firebase App Check: Protects backend calls from unauthorized access

7. Data Retention

• Local game statistics: Stored on your device; deleted when you uninstall the app
• Technical data (crashes, analytics): Firebase retains them for a maximum of 90 days

Since Formudle does not collect personal data or create user accounts, there is no account deletion procedure.

8. Children's Privacy

Formudle is a word game suitable for all ages. Since we do not collect any personal data or require account registration, there is no special risk for younger users. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

9. Your Rights

Since Formudle does not collect personal data, most data protection rights (access, rectification, deletion) apply to anonymous analytics data only. You can:

• Reset game stats: Clear app data from your device settings to reset all local statistics
• Opt out of analytics: Disable analytics in your device settings

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We will notify you of significant changes through:

• Updating the "Last updated" date in this document
• An in-app notification for important changes

Your continued use of the app after the changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
